On October 22nd 2021, a workshop was held with our cultural association’s partner Beijing22, led by Ana Eschbach and Antonie Angerer. Due to the difficulty of accessing China since the beginning of the pandemic in early 2020, this workshop took place in a virtual format. Its aim was twofold.
First, to share the findings of the various ongoing projects run by this association around the implementation of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing area in collaboration with photographers, documentarists, writers, artists and social scientists.
Second, to discuss further collaboration that will for the present time takes the form of contributions for the entire EPFL team with PoliTO and ETHZ PhD candidates to the upcoming book edited by Beijing22. The richness of interdisciplinary projects presented by Ana and Antonie gave rise to fruitful exchanges on data related to the overall SNSF project architecture and the three case studies selected.
