On December 2023, a workshop on “Asian Urban peripheries” was organized by the research group at EPFL. The workshop featured nine speakers from Swiss universities, including Yimin Zhao (UZH and Renmin University of China), Florence Graezer Bideau (EPFL), Thierry Theurillat (HEG-Arc), Helena Roux (EPFL), Mengke Zhang (EPFL), Yiqiu Liu (ETHZ), David Gogishvili (UNIL), Sylvie Tram Nguyen (EPFL), and Maurice Yip (UNIL).

Co-organized with the UNIL Institute of Geography and Sustainability, the workshop showcased interesting presentations and fostered fruitful discussions. This initial gathering serves as a stepping stone towards launching more workshops and potential collaborations, uniting participants under shared interests in Asian studies.
