Helena Roux is trained as an urban geographer. She did her Master’s degree in urban studies at the University of Lyon (France), during which she had the opportunity to work as an intern at WHITRAP (World Heritage Center for Training and Research in Asia and Pacific), in Shanghai in 2019, before joining the EPFL team in June 2020 (Switzerland).
She worked on the implementation of Historic Urban Landscape and integration of contemporary heritage in urban development processes in Shanghai. Her masters thesis addresses industrial heritage conservation and management, with the example of the M50, along the Suzhou Creek.
